An "Allahu Akbar" attack in Esplugues: girl murdered at random.

A man has stabbed a young woman to death this Saturday, 2nd May at 11 a.m. in Esplugues de Llobregat, in the Finestrelles neighbourhood. According to several witnesses, The attacker was Moroccan and is said to have shouted “Allahu Akbar.”, a relevant detail that has not yet been officially confirmed by the Mossos d'Esquadra.
The man had no relationship with the victim. He attacked her in broad daylight and stabbed her several times in the neck, chest and abdomen. The young woman died at the scene despite the arrival of the emergency services.
After the murder, the attacker fled with the knife in his hand. The Mossos d'Esquadra located him approximately an hour later in Barcelona, in the Diagonal Avenue area, where he was arrested after threatening the officers with the bladed weapon.
The Town Council is only concerned with «coexistence.»
The statement by the mayor of Esplugues formally condemns the events, decrees two days of mourning and thanks the Local Police and the Mossos d'Esquadra for their actions. But the text avoids naming what has happened: A man has stabbed a young woman to death in broad daylight. with religious proclamations.
