Els Reis d’Orient de Guissona no saluden el Nen Jesús per la inclusió dels musulmans

El diàleg interreligiós del mossèn de Guissona consisteix a llegir l’Alcorà i permetre que reis i patges no besin el Nen Jesús perquè son musulmans, com el 20% de la població.

La a visita dels Reis d’Orient a l’església de Guissona el dia 5 de gener s’ha fet enguany amb una modificació respecte a la tradició habitual. El gest simbòlic de besar la imatge del Nen Jesús no s’ha realitzat perquè alguns patges i un dels reis són de religió musulmana i no se senten còmodes amb aquesta pràctica.

La decisió s’ha comunicat prèviament a través de les xarxes socials de la parròquia i han esborrat el comunicat davant les crítiques. L’eliminació de la tradició es justifica en nom del respecte a la diversitat religiosa present al municipi. Pel mossèn de Guissona, el gest dels Reis adorant el Nen Jesús deixa de ser l’expressió d’una fe determinada que pot ser modificat o suprimit si incomoda altres confessions.

«A Guissona avui convivim amb una nova realitat que cal respectar»

El text del mossèn difós a través d’Instagram i esborrat però recuperat per Infovaticana diu literalment: «Antigament, es besava la imatge del Nen Jesús, però a Guissona avui convivim amb una nova realitat que cal respectar. Alguns patges i un dels reis són de religió musulmana i aquesta pràctica els resulta inapropiada.» Amb aquestes paraules, la parròquia de Guissona justifica la supressió d’un gest central de la visita dels Reis d’Orient a l’església que no és altra que l’adoració de Déu fet nen.

El comunicat no parla d’una excepció individual, ni d’una decisió puntual adoptada amb discreció, sinó que apel·la a una “nova realitat” que s’hauria d’acceptar com a criteri normatiu. El petó al Nen Jesús no és una convenció social, sinó una expressió concreta d’adoració cristiana. La renúncia unilateral en nom del respecte a altres confessions implica assumir que la pràctica religiosa pròpia pot resultar ofensiva fins i tot dins de casa seva.

En el mateix missatge, el rector recorda que l’any passat ja es van rebre crítiques quan es va anunciar la lectura de la Bíblia i de l’Alcorà durant l’acte. Lluny d’assumir aquelles crítiques com una advertència sobre els límits del diàleg interreligiós dins l’espai litúrgic cristià, el comunicat les presenta com un simple soroll mediàtic. Davant les crítiques, el mossèn va fer enrere parcial i va llegir textos genèrics sobre la pau.

El mossèn afirma al text difós que «aquests textos comparteixen valors universals com la pau, la concòrdia, la fraternitat, el perdó i l’amor: tot allò que volem que ens portin els Reis.» Amb aquesta frase, el rector no només justifica la lectura conjunta de la Bíblia i de l’Alcorà en un acte celebrat dins l’església, sinó que redueix el sentit de la visita dels Reis d’Orient a una suma de valors genèrics, desvinculats del contingut específic de la fe cristiana i del significat propi de l’Epifania. Aquesta continuïtat mostra que no és un error puntual, sinó una línia pastoral sostinguda.

En la visió del mossèn de Guissona, el marc cristià és només un contenidor adaptable, susceptible de ser redefinit en funció d’un discurs de convivència que evita qualsevol afirmació clara de la identitat pròpia.

A Guissona la convivència es converteix en renúncia

A Guissona han decidit que persones de religió musulmana participin a la cavalcada popular, una decisió que en si mateixa no té res d’excepcional. La conseqüència és que la participació de musulmans obliga a modificar el contingut religiós d’un acte cristià celebrat dins l’església. L’adaptació religiosa que el mossèn abraça amb entusiasme s’ha convertit en una renúncia.

A Guissona, prop de la meitat de la població és d’origen estranger i, segons les dades disponibles per nacionalitat, al voltant d’un 15–20% dels veïns són d’origen africà, majoritàriament musulmans. Aquesta realitat explica el context i mostra com la convivència de ser respecte mutu.
