Condemnat a Mallorca per violència de gènere per imposar el hijab, controlar i agredir

Un home d’origen marroquí ha estat condemnat per l’Audiència de Palma a dos anys de presó i treballs comunitaris per maltractar de manera habitual la seva parella, a qui obligava a portar el hijab, controlava els moviments i el telèfon mòbil i prohibia estudiar o sortir amb les amigues. Segons la informació publicada pel Diario de Mallorca, l’home va reconèixer els fets i es va declarar responsable de tres delictes de maltractament i un d’amenaces.

«Si fóssim al Marroc ja t’hauria matat»

La violència no es limitava al control sobre la roba, els estudis o les amistats. Segons els fets reconeguts pel mateix acusat, quan la dona el contrariava o es negava a obeir-lo, l’agredia físicament. En almenys dues ocasions li va donar cops de puny a la cara, al pit i a l’estómac, i també va arribar a agafar-la pel coll.

La víctima va suportar aquesta situació durant mesos sense anar al metge ni explicar el que passava. El novembre de 2020, després d’una nova amenaça, va acabar demanant ajuda al seu pare. L’home li havia dit: «Tens sort de ser a Espanya; si fóssim al Marroc ja t’hauria matat». Dos mesos després, el gener de 2021, un jutjat va dictar una ordre de protecció a favor de la dona.

El hijab com a part del control

Entre les conductes que la sentència situa dins d’aquest clima de dominació hi havia l’obligació de portar el hijab. No apareix com un fet aïllat, sinó al costat de la prohibició d’estudiar, sortir amb les amigues, acudir al psicòleg o decidir lliurement sobre aspectes bàsics de la seva vida quotidiana.

Aquest control anava acompanyat d’humiliacions, amenaces i agressions físiques quan la dona el contrariava o no obeïa. La situació es va mantenir durant mesos, fins que el novembre de 2020 la víctima va demanar ajuda.

De 30 anys sol·licitats a una condemna de dos

La Fiscalia havia reclamat inicialment penes que sumaven 30 anys de presó, ja que l’home també estava acusat de dos delictes d’agressió sexual. Aquests càrrecs, però, van ser retirats durant la vista oral i les parts van arribar a un acord. L’acusat va reconèixer els fets i va acceptar una condemna per tres delictes de maltractament i un d’amenaces.

La condemna final va quedar en dos anys de presó i 80 dies de treballs en benefici de la comunitat, a més d’una indemnització de 10.000 euros i la prohibició d’apropar-se o comunicar-se amb la víctima.
