Muslim influencer from the United States explains why it is hypocritical to say that dying for God is terrorism

Segons Daniel Haqiqatjou (The Muslim Skeptic), Occident aplica un doble estàndard quan glorifica els soldats que moren per l’Estat però condemna com a terroristes els qui moren per Déu.

Haqiqatjou, conegut pel seu estil directe i sense concessions, acusa Occident de mantenir un doble estàndard: “Si un soldat diu ‘moro pel meu país’, és un heroi. Però si un musulmà diu ‘moro per Déu i pel meu poble’, aleshores és terrorista”.

El youtuber defensa que l’islam no ha “externalitzat” la violència a l’Estat secular, com han fet altres religions, i per això se l’acusa de violent. Segons ell, tota societat organitzada —sigui l’ONU o qualsevol estat modern— té forces policials, exèrcits i tribunals que apliquen la violència sota el paraigua de la llei. “L’islam també té regles sobre la guerra i els càstigs criminals. No és només espiritualitat privada entre tu i Déu”, afirma. El discurs és molt clar:

Però, al mateix temps, hi ha gent que no té cap problema a dir ‘donem suport a les nostres tropes’ i a justificar guerres pel seu país, i ni tan sols parpellegen davant d’aquests sentiments violents, perquè és la guerra del seu Estat secular. Ara bé, si un musulmà diu ‘vull morir per Déu’ o ‘vull morir pel meu poble’, llavors això és terrorisme. Això és un doble estàndard.

Daniel Haqiqatjou, conegut com a The Muslim Skeptic, és un influencer musulmà nord-americà d’origen iranià nascut a Houston (Texas) el 1985. Format a Harvard en Física i Filosofia, i posteriorment a la Tufts University, combina el bagatge acadèmic amb l’estudi de les ciències islàmiques tradicionals. El seu projecte, Muslim Skeptic, és alhora un canal de YouTube amb prop de 440.000 subscriptors i un portal web on publica anàlisis i debats sobre filosofia, cultura i religió

Amb un estil crític i provocador, Haqiqatjou defensa que l’islam no és només espiritualitat privada, sinó un sistema complet de vida que inclou política, moral i jurisprudència. Critica el liberalisme, el feminisme i el modernisme islàmic, i per això sovint és acusat de conservador radical. Tot i la polèmica, el seu missatge connecta amb una audiència jove que busca alternatives a les narratives dominants i que veu en el seu discurs una defensa sense complexos de l’islam tradicional.
