Un informe de drets humans denuncia que Irlanda va servir salsitxes de porc a deportats cap al Pakistan

L’observador de drets humans del govern d’Irlanda fa canviar el menú a la companyia aèria que transporta delinqüents i il·legals cap a Islamabad.

Preocupació a Irlanda per les salsitxes de porc servides a passatgers musulmans en un vol de deportació cap al Pakistan. El cas afecta un vol xàrter entre Dublín i Islamabad per expulsar immigrants irregulars i delinqüents condemnats. L’episodi ha sortit a la llum després que un observador de drets humans nomenat pel govern irlandès critiqués el menú ofert durant el trajecte.

Segons recull The Irish Sun, als deportats se’ls va oferir un esmorzar irlandès complet que incloïa salsitxes de porc. L’observador de drets humans va considerar que servir porc en aquest context era “inadequat” tot i ser l’esmorzar irlandès habitual.

Càtering religiós també per a delinqüents

El cas ha obligat Air Partner, l’empresa encarregada d’organitzar aquests vols per al govern irlandès, a revisar el menú que ofereix en aquestes operacions. La companyia no ho ha presentat com una decisió deliberada, sinó com una pífia logística: es va servir un esmorzar estàndard sense adaptar-lo al perfil dels passatgers ni al destí del vol.

Segons les informacions publicades, el viatge costa als contribuents irlandesos 473.000 euros. Abans de l’enlairament, els homes deportats van ser retinguts durant la nit en tres presons diferents, i alguns van rebre la classificació d’alt risc pels seus antecedents penals.
