El sindicat policial de Berlín no vol agents amb hijab: “Ja n’hi ha prou de fer servir l’opressió patriarcal per guanyar vots”

El sindicat policial de Berlín ha rebutjat frontalment la proposta dels Verds de permetre el hijab dins del cos policial i ho ha fet amb un missatge inusualment dur: “No feu servir l’opressió patriarcal per guanyar vots”. Els representants dels agents consideren que la mesura no respon a criteris de funcionament institucional, sinó a càlculs polítics que instrumentalitzen una qüestió sensible. Els Verds han proposat permetre el vel a les agents de policia dins una proposta més àmplia per fomentar la vida islàmica al país. Altres mesures són garantir festius islàmics, finançar mesquites i associacions o facilitar posar denúncies per discriminació religiosa. Segons els ecologistes, és molt important integrar l’islam a la vida pública alemanya perquè hi ha molta islamofòbia i una «discriminació estructural».

El rebuig del sindicat policial no s’ha limitat a una qüestió tècnica, sinó que ha anat molt més enllà amb un discurs obertament crític amb la proposta dels Verds. Angélique Yumusak, representant femenina del sindicat, ha estat taxativa: considera que els símbols religiosos visibles no tenen cap lloc dins del cos policial. “Els mocadors no tenen absolutament cap cabuda a la policia. La religió i l’Estat s’han de mantenir estrictament separats”, va afirmar en declaracions al Berliner Kurier.

Per al sindicat, el problema no és la llibertat individual. Recorden que un policia no actua com a individu, sinó com a representant de l’autoritat, i que qualsevol element que pugui generar dubtes sobre la seva imparcialitat debilita la confiança ciutadana. A Alemanya, la llei prohibeix als policies, jutges i funcionaris judicials portar símbols religiosos visibles des del 2005.

Els Verds asseguren que la llei discrimina les dones musulmanes

La diputada dels Verds Tuba Bozkurt defensa que la normativa actual exclou dones qualificades de l’accés a la funció pública pel fet de portar vel. Afegeix que «no té sentit excloure dones que han optat per portar un mocador» i sosté que la llei impedeix que professionals preparades puguin treballar com a policies o jutges.

Els Verds defensen abolir la llei de neutralitat per permetre que qualsevol persona pugui expressar les seves conviccions religioses dins del servei públic. El partit argumenta que la normativa actual genera discriminació i que cal adaptar-la a la jurisprudència del Tribunal Constitucional alemany, que ja va obrir la porta a flexibilitzar aquestes restriccions en l’àmbit educatiu.

Per al sindicat policial, la línia vermella és clara: la policia no pot convertir-se en un espai de representació ideològica o religiosa sense posar en risc la seva funció essencial. El sindicat policial reconeix que les dones són lliures de portar el vel en la seva vida privada. Però Yumusak insisteix: «Qualsevol que esculli aquesta professió coneix les normes. Estic sol·licitant una feina i els requisits estan molt clarament definits», va remarcar.

El Sindicat de Policia Alemanya (DPolG) a Berlín ha anat encara més lluny en el seu posicionament públic. En un comunicat difós a xarxes socials, ha advertit que “l’obsessió dels Verds de Berlín pel vel i l’Islam és contraproduent per a les dones”, ja que, segons sostenen, transmet la idea d’un codi moral específic aplicat només a elles. El mateix sindicat conclou amb una acusació directa: “No és en interès de l’Estat, sinó un senyal fatal per a la nostra democràcia, ja n’hi ha prou d’utilitzar l’opressió patriarcal per obtenir vots”.
