A master's student in letters at the University of Aix-Marseille has posted serious threats against his professor on Instagram. The most blatant is «May Allah kill her and her children.«. Furthermore, he has repeatedly insulted the teacher with expressions such as «fucking bitch»and«bitch«.

The case was denounced by the right-wing UNI trade union, which explains that The teacher is very scared. The union called for the student's immediate expulsion and for precautionary measures to bar him from entering the campus. According to reports The Figaro, The Aix-Marseille University has not taken any internal measures but has reported it to the public prosecutor's office.

“I'll insult all their dead”: unrestrained messages on social media

On 7 May, El. B. posted a delirious and threatening video statement. In it, she launched a harsh attack on her tutor, expressing intentions of revenge once she obtained her degree: “I'll send her a massive email in which I insult all her great fucking dead shits, one by one, until I get to her.«. And “This bitch, if she did her job properly, she'd die. She'd die.”In the same video, recorded facing the camera, he claimed that this woman«He hates Arabs.»and that«She hates herself because she feels dirty and inferior.«.

The violent expressions were not only directed at the teacher but also at her family. The discourse, laden with hatred and misogyny, was accompanied by a clearly intimidating tone and extremely offensive language.

Antisemitic, anti-white and anti-France discourses

The recording was not an isolated case. According to the UNI union, the Instagram account contained other posts with antisemitic, racist and anti-French content. Calls for violence against white people and expressions of hatred towards the police and the country are common.

Among the expressions highlighted by the union are such as “Smash the faces of these shitty white people.»or«France is shit«These types of messages, posted on their Instagram account, reinforce the thesis that The young man was not acting solely over an academic dispute., but was using his platform to spread a radical discourse, violent and deeply hostile towards French society.

Indignation over impunity

The case has provoked a wave of indignation., both for the content of the messages and for the fact that a student with this level of verbal violence is part of a Master's in Letters. Several readers of Le Figaro have expressed perplexity that someone like that could be about to graduate.

The prosecution's investigation will have to determine whether the messages circulated constitute offences such as glorification of terrorism, death threats or incitement to hatred. Meanwhile, the case is reopened. the debate on the presence of extremist discourses within the university environment and the ability of institutions to tackle them.
