Una exposició de l’Ajuntament de Santa Coloma (PSOE) assenyala el vel islàmic com a exemple de vulneració dels drets humans

Una de les 12 exposicions de la sèrie “SCG Drets Humans” explica com el vel islàmic vulnera els drets humans de les dones a l’Iran. La mostra s’ha instal·lat a la tanca d’un institut on hi van moltes noies velades pel rigorisme islàmic.

Santa Coloma de Gramenet acull, entre el 5 de novembre i el 15 de desembre de 2025, la sèrie SCG Drets Humans. Es tracta d’un projecte de 12 exposicions fotogràfiques simultànies a l’espai públic que denuncien vulneracions de drets humans arreu del món. Les mostres s’acompanyen de tallers, visites guiades i activitats formatives.

Les dotze exposicions recorren realitats molt diverses: comunitats indígenes de Rússia, la Patagònia i els Andes; poblacions afectades per la guerra a Ucraïna; infants i joves amb dificultats d’accés a l’educació al Líban, Kenya o Colòmbia; persones migrades en trànsit per fronteres europees; històries de resistència comunitària a Guatemala o Palestina, i, finalment, la situació de les dones amb el hijab sota el règim islàmic de l’Iran.

La denúncia del vel islàmic

L’exposició instal·lada a la tanca de l’IES Puig Castellar està dedicada al vel islàmic a l’Iran. A la presentació, s’explica que la Revolució Islàmica de 1979 va imposar el hijab a les dones com a part dels cànons estètics de l’islam. La sèrie vol destacar la lluita de les dones (i els homes) per reclamar llibertat i canvis profunds.

A les altres fotografies hi veiem tota mena d’escenes de la vida quotidiana de les dones a l’Iran: per exemple, nenes d’una escola tapades, parelles amagades per tenir un espai d’intimitat (les mostres d’afecte son il·legals per l’islam) o dones que es juguen la vida fent-se fotos mostrant els cabells.

Nenes obligades a portar mocador islàmic. SCG-Drets Humans

La intenció de l’Ajuntament amb aquesta instal·lació és provocar una reflexió directa en el mateix espai on transcorre la vida quotidiana. La mostra s’ha col·locat a la reixa de l’Institut Puig Castellar, un punt de pas constant d’alumnes i famílies, i especialment de moltes noies que porten hijab. L’objectiu és interpel·lar-les sobre el significat del vel imposat a l’Iran, habitualment associat a un context de control i repressió, i obrir un debat que sovint passa desapercebut enmig de la normalitat del dia a dia.

La denúncia al hijab a la ciutat que va prohibir el burka i el niqab

El compromís feminista de Santa Coloma va rebre un impuls decisiu el 2010, quan Núria Parlón va assumir l’alcaldia i va situar la defensa dels drets de les dones com un dels pilars del seu govern. Una de les primeres mesures que va impulsar va ser la prohibició del burca i el niqab als edificis municipals, una decisió que va presentar com una qüestió de drets, convivència i igualtat. Al llarg dels seus mandats, Parlón també va impulsar iniciatives de més abast estructural. La més rellevant va ser La CIBA, un equipament pioner dedicat als recursos per a les dones.

La seva successora, Mireia González, ha recollit aquest llegat i ha mantingut l’impuls feminista com a línia central del govern municipal. En aquesta continuïtat s’inscriu la mostra instal·lada a l’espai públic que exposa, de manera explícita i visible per a tothom, la denúncia sobre la imposició del vel islàmic i les vulneracions de drets que s’hi associen.
