In a Friday sermon delivered at Greenville (North Carolina), the imam Mansour Muhammad outlined the characteristics of the so-called “Woman of Paradise”. Mansour Mahmoud Saad
Imam Mansour Mahmoud Saad is originally from Egypt. He grew up there and memorised the Qur'an in his early years. At the age of five he joined the Al-Azhar Institute, renowned for its prestige in Islamic studies. In 2005, after graduating in Daʿwah (preaching) from Al-Azhar University, he was appointed imam, teacher and preacher at the Egyptian Ministry of Religious Endowments, where he led various communities and mosques for a decade. He has also taught courses in Islamic theology and the jurisprudence of the four schools.
He took intensive English courses for religious purposes at the American University in Cairo to narrow the cultural gap with the West. In 2014, he was invited to the United States as part of an interfaith dialogue programme, where he met with leaders of different religions and delivered lectures in mosques, churches, synagogues, schools and universities.
Since September 2021, Mansour Mahmoud has been living in the United States as an imam. Islamic Centre of Little Rock (Arkansas). Subsequently, he assumed the role of imam of the Islamic Association–Eastern North Carolina (IAENC), located in Greenville, North Carolina. He is married and has four children (two girls and two boys). The centre offers Friday sermons (sermonsprayer times and Islamic resources. It also organises community activities such as Sunday school, the Muslim youth group and other social and educational programmes. Moreover, it is noted for its strong commitment to community cohesion and service, with committees and fundraising and social support initiatives.
