Un poble de Ciudad Real no accepta els immigrants de Malgrat de Mar

L’arribada a Manzanares (Ciudad Real) d’un grup de més de cent immigrants subsaharians procedents de l’Hotel Amaraigua de Malgrat de Mar ha generat tant malestar que finalment s’ha cancel.lat. El motiu del trasllat era que el 16 d’abril l’hotel del Maresme necessita està lliure per començar la temporada turística d’estiu.

La polèmica va començar quan es va saber que l’ONG que gestiona els immigrants els traslladaria a l’Hotel Manzanares de la localitat. L’establiment va rebre un allau de queixes a les xarxes socials i es va convocar una manifestació.

El propietari de l’hotel es defensa

El gerent de l’Hotel Manzanares va fer un comunicat a Facebook per deixar clar que no es tracta de Menors Estrangers No Acompanyats (MENAs), sinó d’homes d’entre 20 i 40 anys que “han fugit dels seus països d’origen, on hi ha guerres, fam i misèria”. També remarca que “no són persones violentes, ni conflictives, ni delinqüents” i que “en cap moment estaran sols”, ja que “a l’hotel on pernoctaran hi haurà permanentment personal de l’ONG que els acull”.

A més, assegura que l’arribada d’aquest grup de migrants tindrà un impacte positiu en l’economia del municipi perquè es preveu la creació d’entre 12 i 15 llocs de treball.

Finalment, l’ONG Movimiento por la Paz va dir que l’hotel que havien contractat no reuneix les condicions necessàries.

L’ajuntament no en sabia res

La polèmica va quedar tancada aquest dilluns després que l’alcalde, Julián Nieva, confirmés al ple municipal que no arribaria cap grup d’immigrants al municipi. Fins i tot, va explicar que ningú l’havia avisat de res i que sabia el mateix que els veïns. Després del ple municipal la manifestació va quedar desconvocada.

Manzanares és un municipi situat a la província de Ciudad Real, a la comunitat autònoma de Castella-la Manxa. Té uns 18.000 habitants i es troba en una zona de pas estratègica, a la plana de La Manxa, entre Madrid i Andalusia, fet que l’ha convertit en un important nucli de comunicacions i activitat econòmica.
