Un violent motí protagonitzat per menors estrangers no acompanyats (MENAs) ha tingut lloc recentment en un centre d’acollida de Melilla. Segons han informat els sindicats i recull el diari El Debate, una trentena de joves musulmans van agredir diversos treballadors del centre exigint diners com a regal de final del Ramadà. Alguns empleats van resultar ferits i van haver de ser atesos a Urgències. La gravetat dels fets va obligar a intervenir la Guàrdia Civil. Davant la negativa del personal del centre, els menors van bloquejar els accessos, van llançar pedres i objectes contundents, i van arribar a retenir treballadors.

Amenaces, agressions i treballadors desprotegits

Els sindicats CC.OO. i CSIF han denunciat públicament l’agressivitat dels menors i el perillós precedent que es genera. Parlen de treballadors agredits físicament i verbalment, amenaces amb armes blanques i lesions diverses. A més, lamenten que, tot i la gravetat dels fets, l’endemà la Conselleria de Polítiques Socials i Salut Pública, encapçalada per Randa Mohamed El Aoula, va decidir entregar als menors els diners que havien reclamat amb violència.

Des del sindicat CSIF consideren que s’ha establert “un precedent nefast”, en què els menors que han exhibit un comportament violent han aconseguit els seus objectius mentre els treballadors han estat ignorats i desautoritzats. Alerten que aquest tipus d’incidents es repeteixen cada cop amb més freqüència, i denuncien que, lluny de reforçar la seguretat, el nou plec de gestió del centre preveu una reducció de vigilants.
