The dismantled cell was engaged in acquiring essential components for the manufacture of kamikaze drones. The investigation began after detecting suspicious transactions carried out by Spanish companies managed by Lebanese individuals. They were acquiring materials and components necessary to build unmanned aerial vehicles capable of carrying explosives.
The investigation has confirmed the large-scale purchase of materials to manufacture drones, such as motors, electronic guidance components, propellers, bearings and more than twelve tonnes of resins and hardeners to build their structures. Hezbollah has launched numerous drone attacks against Israel, and components similar to those acquired by the dismantled network have been found.
Three Lebanese arrested
The Guardia Civil has arrested three Lebanese nationals at 501 Valencia Street and seized documentation. The operation was carried out at the same address where, last July, three alleged Lebanese terrorists linked to Hezbollah were already arrested.
