El partit SÖZ (Àustria) proposa que el Ramadà sigui festiu

La política vienesa es troba immersa en una polèmica arran de la proposta del partit Soziales Österreich der Zukunft (SÖZ). Aquest partit minoritari però amb aspiracions proposa que el final del Ramadà sigui festiu oficial a Àustria, segons han informat mitjans com OE24 o Kosmo.

El president del SÖZ argumenta que Viena és una ciutat «multicolor i diversa» i que és hora que aquesta diversitat es reflecteixi també en el calendari oficial. Segons Gördü, més de 200.000 musulmans viuen a la capital austríaca, i per tant, les seves festivitats haurien de ser reconegudes oficialment, igual que Nadal o Pasqua. A més, proposa celebrar anualment una gran festa pública de l’Eid al-Fitr (final del Ramadà) a la plaça de l’Ajuntament de Viena, similar als tradicionals mercats de Nadal o Pasqua, com a símbol de convivència i reconeixement de la diversitat cultural de la ciutat. Considera que seria una manera d’honrar els 800.000 musulmans que viuen a Àustria

Aquesta iniciativa és fortament defensada per Sali Attia, la candidata del SÖZ a l’alcaldia de Viena. Subratlla que aquest festival seria un senyal fort per a una ciutat oberta, diversa i inclusiva. Segons la seva opinió, Viena podria servir com a model de convivència harmònica. Attia veu això com una oportunitat per fer visible la diversitat cultural de la ciutat.

L’actual alcalde de Viena va expressar el seu suport al festival.

El FÖP culpa l’alcalde per cedir davant l’islam

Aquesta proposta ha estat rebuda amb indignació per Dominik Nepp (FÖP), qui acusa l’alcalde socialdemòcrata de Viena, Michael Ludwig (SPÖ), de fomentar aquest tipus d’iniciatives. Nepp critica que, en una recent invitació a l’iftar (trencament del dejuni) a l’Ajuntament, es van projectar missatges islàmics radicals com «No hi ha més déu que Al·là», es va instal·lar una sala per resar i es va cridar a l’oració. En resposta a la proposta del SÖZ, Nepp ha declarat: «Qui vulgui vacances, que vagi a Síria o Afganistan«.

Tensió davant les eleccions

Aquest debat sorgeix en un context polític tens, amb les eleccions municipals de Viena programades per al 27 d’abril. El SÖZ, que actualment compta amb representació en alguns districtes vienesos, busca ampliar la seva presència al consistori. La proposta de declarar l’Eid al-Fitr com a festiu oficial podria ser una estratègia per captar el vot de la comunitat musulmana i d’aquells que recolzen una major inclusió de les minories culturals i religioses.

El SÖZ es defineix com un partit «social i ecològic» situat a l’esquerra del centre polític. Els seus principals objectius inclouen la lluita contra la islamofòbia, la promoció del multiculturalisme i la protecció de les minories. En les eleccions municipals i regionals de Viena de 2020, el SÖZ va obtenir l’1,2% dels vots, no aconseguint representació al parlament regional, però sí set escons en sis consells de districte.
