Tres joves detinguts a França a punt per immolar-se en públic

Volien suïcidar-se en espais públics per fer el més mal possible. Tenien l’armilla preparada.

Tres joves d’entre 19 i 24 anys han estat detinguts aquesta setmana al nord de França, sospitosos de preparar atemptats suïcides en nom de l’Estat Islàmic. Segons ha revelat Le Figaro i ha confirmat la Fiscalia Nacional Antiterrorista (PNAT), els arrestats —originaris de Lille i Dunkerque— planejaven immolar-se en espais públics amb l’objectiu de provocar una matança.

La policia els seguia la pista i, durant els escorcolls, hi van trobar una armilla modificada per carregar-hi explosius, un dispositiu de tret i una llista amb els ingredients per fabricar TATP, un explosiu casolà molt perillós i utilitzat habitualment en accions jihadistes. Un dels detinguts havia mostrat obertament el seu suport als autors d’atemptats terroristes a través de les xarxes socials.

Dos empresonats, un sota control judicial

Dos dels joves han estat empresonats i acusats de conspiració terrorista criminal. El tercer ha estat processat per no haver denunciat els fets i ha quedat sota control judicial. La investigació judicial oberta haurà d’aclarir quin grau de preparació tenia el pla i si comptaven amb còmplices.

Aquest cas torna a posar sobre la taula la persistència de la radicalització jihadista dins del territori francès, especialment entre joves, i la complexitat de detectar i frenar aquestes amenaces a temps.
