Cada divendres, el parc Piraghetto de Mestre (Venècia) es converteix en una mesquita a l’aire lliure. La comunitat musulmana hi estén les catifes, s’hi col·loca en files i hi celebra la pregària. Però aquest divendres la connexió amb Al·là s’ha vist pertorbada per dues noies en biquini. Segons Il Giornale, els líders dels musulmans han pressionat les noies perquè abandonessin el lloc i elles han obeït per no tenir problemes.

El mitjà local La Nuova Venezia ha sigut el primer a explicar la història que ràpidament s’ha fet viral a les xarxes i ha saltat a la premsa generalista italiana. Aquest mitjà explica que en un comunicat la comunitat islàmica es pregunta si la presència de les noies és “coincidència o provocació” perquè «tothom sap que és el nostre espai de pregària». És a dir: el parc és públic, però ells ja el donen per assignat i imposen les seves normes morals.

La dreta parla d’una “mesquita il·legal a l’aire lliure”

La reacció més dura arriba de l’eurodiputada de la Lliga Anna Maria Cisint, que resumeix l’episodi sense matisos: “Les van fer fora perquè estaven prenent el sol”. Segons Cisint, els fidels van arribar al parc amb els imams al capdavant i van acabar expulsant dues noies que simplement havien ocupat una zona de gespa per prendre el sol.

La dirigent de la Lliga acusa la comunitat musulmana d’haver ocupat indegudament un parc públic i d’haver-lo convertit en una “mesquita il·legal a l’aire lliure”. Per Cisint, el problema no és només l’episodi concret de les dues noies en biquini, sinó el precedent que crea: un espai de tots passa a funcionar, cada divendres, sota normes religioses que ningú no ha votat. La diputada explica que el parc continua sent públic sobre el paper, però a la pràctica hi ha persones que ja no el poden utilitzar amb normalitat si la seva presència molesta la sensibilitat religiosa dels qui hi resen.
