Agents de la Policia Nacional van detenir dimarts passat dos homes, un a Tortosa (Tarragona) i l’altre a Saragossa, com a presumptes autors dels delictes d’adoctrinament actiu i passiu de caràcter gihadista. Tots dos es trobaven en un avançat estat de radicalització i consumien habitualment continguts audiovisuals afins a l’organització terrorista DAESH, que després difonien de manera selectiva entre el seu entorn.

Els investigadors, que portaven seguint-los des de feia un any i mig, han pogut constatar no només la seva adhesió ideològica al jihadisme, sinó també la seva perillositat. Segons fonts policials, els detinguts mantenien vincles amb el tràfic de drogues, cosa que els permetia tenir accés a armes a través del mercat negre. De fet, es trobaven en disposició material d’aquest armament, un element que va reforçar les alarmes dels cossos de seguretat.

Les detencions es van dur a terme de forma simultània el mateix dimarts al matí. Durant l’operatiu, els agents van practicar dos escorcolls en domicilis vinculats als arrestats, on van intervenir una gran quantitat de material electrònic i documentació. Tot aquest material està ara sent analitzat per especialistes en antiterrorisme per determinar l’abast de l’activitat dels sospitosos.

La investigació ha estat liderada per la Comissaria General d’Informació amb la col·laboració de les Brigades Provincials d’Informació de Tarragona i Saragossa, el Centre Nacional d’Intel·ligència (CNI) i l’FBI dels Estats Units. L’operació ha estat coordinada pel Jutjat Central d’Instrucció número 1 de l’Audiència Nacional i la seva Fiscalia.
