El passat 20 d’agost de 2025, davant l’ajuntament de Gorizia, la eurodiputada Anna Maria Cisint va ser objecte d’una greu amenaça verbal. Un home de nacionalitat paquistanesa li va cridar “Ti taglio la gola” (“Et tallo la gola”), acompanyant les paraules amb un gest explícit.

Explica el Il Jornale que un grup de ciutadans que va presenciar l’amenaça va retenir l’home i el va entregar a la policia. En qüestió d’hores va ser enviat en avió cap a Doha amb l’amenaça de ser detingut si tornava. La valoració d’Anna Maria Cisint va ser «aquest és el país que volem«.

L’home pakistanès, resident de Monfalcone des de fa anys, acumulava diversos antecedents per danys i alteració de l’ordre públic. Aquest historial, sumat a la manca de documentació necessària, va comportar que se li denegués la renovació del permís de treball.

El preu d’oposar-se a l’islam

La causa d’aquest odi cap a Anna Maria Cisint s’explica per la seva lluita constant contra l’extremisme islàmic i contra l’expansió de la xaria a Monfalcone, d’on va ser alcaldessa.

L’eurodiputada recorda que el seu “delicte” va ser tancar tres mesquites il·legals i prohibir l’entrada als edificis municipals a qualsevol persona que es presentés amb el rostre completament cobert. Segons afirma, aquesta és per a ella una batalla per la legalitat i la justícia, una lluita contra la radicalització i contra la submissió de la civilització europea, així com contra l’intent d’esborrar les llibertats i imposar la xaria a Itàlia.
