Cada MENA costa 5.000 € al mes a Melilla

El cost supera els ingressos d’una família mitjana de Melilla i és més del doble del sou habitual la ciutat.

El govern de la ciutat espanyola a l’Àfrica (PP) ha admès que atendre un MENA (menor estranger no acompanyat) costa 5.000 euros mensuals, és a dir, 60.000 euros a l’any. Ho ha fet públicament aquest 8 d’abril de 2025, segons recull Europa Press, enmig d’un clima de tensió política marcat per la gestió de la immigració i les crítiques de VOX. Aquest import supera amb escreix la renda més baixa registrada a la ciutat (4.996 euros anuals).

Aquest contrast ha encès les crítiques de VOX, que considera que aquests costos representen un greuge comparatiu inacceptable per a les famílies melillenques. El seu president provincial assegura que només la seva formació s’atreveix a dir clarament que aquests menors haurien de ser retornats amb les seves famílies als seus països d’origen. També remarca que la quantitat que s’inverteix en cada mena duplica el sou anual de molts treballadors de la ciutat (uns 23.275€, segons l’Agència Tributaria espanyola).

Crítiques per manca de transparència

VOX ha criticat que el govern no hagués facilitat aquestes dades quan se li van demanar durant un ple celebrat a l’octubre de 2023, i sospita que la informació s’ha fet pública ara només perquè el partit l’ha tornat a exigir al Congrés.

El partit també alerta de la situació al centre de menors La Purísima, on s’han registrat tres incidents greus en els darrers cinc mesos i, malgrat això, es preveu reduir el nombre de vigilants de seguretat. En aquest context, considera una temeritat que es pugui incrementar el nombre de menors acollits a la ciutat, sigui quina sigui la quantitat.
